Customers all over the Nordics and the world are moving to the cloud and starting their Digital Workplace journeys. Even though it is an everyday thing for us, we can’t forget that for a customer it can be a big and challenging change, especially without the right partner. This is where Atea comes in.
Even though it is an everyday thing for us, we can’t forget that for a customer it can be a big and challenging change.
Recently one of our customers, a large furniture company with offices and factories all around the world, wanted to disable as many servers as possible and move to a cloud solution as well as have a digital workplace. On top of that, the customer also needed to automate as much as possible of the Windows devices enrollment, as building and maintaining customized operation system images is a time-consuming process and, yes, also expensive. The customers’ goal was to group all their offices and factories. They needed to be able to manage policies, profiles, applications, and more without the hassle that they were facing in the past. We all long for things to be more straightforward. With these needs, they were looking for solutions to manage the servers and devices jointly and smoothly.
What we did:
Our team at Atea Managed Services Riga looked into what the customer needed and found solutions for both – Co-management implementation and Windows Autopilot.
The co-management approach is one of the primary ways to attach existing Configuration Manager deployment to the Microsoft 365 cloud. It helps customers to unlock additional cloud-powered capabilities like conditional access. Thus, they can manage servers needed for their factories (using SCCM) on the one hand and on the other manage the rest of their Windows 10 devices around the world (using Microsoft Intune). That’s what you call a win-win.
The co-management approach helped the customer to managed servers needed for their factories and also manage the rest of their Windows 10 devices around the world.
On with the project. Firstly our team stared with the project to upgrade the SCCM server to the 1810 version and set up the necessary setting for this in SCCM and Azure. While in parallel working on a project to move all managed workstations to the latest Windows 10 version 1803, that required for Microsoft Intune client management and further as a consequence Co-management implementation.
When we do something, we do it right! By right this time we mean with the highest accuracy, that we could ensure by running multiple tests while accomplishing all determined projects and Co-management implementation.
So what does all that mean for the customer? Today they have the flexibility to use a technology solution that is most suited for their organization and receive benefits that increase their work efficiency. You can’t add an hour to the day, but you can easily save one!
You can’t add an hour to the day, but you can easily save one!
The solutions that AMS Riga have provided have automated the customers’ enrollment process and given them an opportunity to use their IT resources much more efficiently. By using Intune to manage Autopilot devices, the customer can manage policies, profiles, applications, and more after the devices are enrolled. With Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, the customer can provide new devices to their employees (end-users) without the need to build, maintain, and apply custom operating system images to the devices.
We helped a customer make more money! What? Yes, that’s correct – by creating more efficiency we help them make more money. Do your customers need help in making more money? If yes, contact AMS Riga and let us find the best solution that works for your customer.
