RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be an active member of the team that configure, expand and maintain our central monitoring platform, ScienceLogic SL1;
• Perform troubleshooting and break/fix support on the monitoring platform;
• Onboarding new technology into the monitoring system;
• Ongoing interaction with relevant shareholders, to ensure monitoring platform meets relevant requirements and customer expectations;
• Ability to understand customer requirements in scope of monitoring and event handling;
• Participate in the governance of application and infrastructure monitoring including; design, implementation, customization and support;
• Design dashboards and reports to consolidate views of monitoring data;
• Aid in the investigation and prevention of incidents, problems and service quality issues;
• Recommend the establishment or modification of current policies and standards where applicable;
• Participate in the teams expansion of monitoring functionality, using automation & scripting;
• Participate in the teams Automation of workflows to perform event handling, event resolution, etc.;
•  Participate in the teams design and implementation of Integrations between monitoring platform and relevant infrastructure platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to working independently, without the need to have all steps documented in details;
• Ability and experience in teamwork;
• Good communication skills – must be able to communicate efficiently in English both written and verbal;
• Ability to think “out of the box” and beyond default solutions;
• Ability to maintain overview of complex information;
• Ability to drive timely completion of tasks;
• At least basic understanding of network performance monitoring, application performance management and infrastructure monitoring;
• Proficient in ITIL event management and good basis in ITIL foundational concepts;
• Broad understanding of cloud environments, distributed application architectures, and web-scale technologies;
• Proficient in scripting languages, experience with Python preferred;
• Previous experience with ScienceLogic SL1 will be an advantage;
• 3+ years of experience in IT with at least 2 years in a large scale enterprise environment;
• Experience in IT operations required, Event-handling or monitoring experience will be an advantage;
• Experience with Application performance and end-user monitoring experience will be a significant advantage.
