The problem:
One of our customers – a Nordic Electronics Manufacturing Services company – needed a warranty report for HP products within their environment. The report was needed to help the customer with a project regarding IT equipment, inventory management, and yearly budget planning. Before the customer had used a global company inventory to manage the information, however, this solution involved a lot of manual work. The customer wanted us to research for solutions to fit their needs.
“Our team not only met but exceeded the customers’ expectations with not just finding a suitable solution, but delivering two options for them.”

The Atea solution:
When we looked into the needs of the customer we knew straight away that we had previous experience with a solution that would fit them perfectly. For us to implement this solution we needed to involve our Software Asset Management team who administrated Atea License Manager.
We worked on creating a possibility to have this functionality as an Atea wide service either through API ar RPA. Carefully, paying a lot of attention to details we evaluated the implementation possibilities and other required tasks. And this was the point for our Software Asset Management team to shine – a successful test and detailed result report later we had not one but two options how to automate the HP warranty database upload to the Snow License Manager. A basic and extended solution was created so the customer could choose the one most suitable for them.
Thanks to the effort from our team and the new Software Asset Manager solution with the implemented functionality our customer was able to monitor warranty statuses accessible via the web-portal and based on the data and ease of generating reports they could make decisions on whether an aging device should continue on an Extended Warranty contract or be relpaced.
