Cart functionality

Our first version of Cart functionality is done. It consists of an admin service where can create and manage cart lists. For our first iteration the cart list will be populated by manually created objects.  To create an article, you need to have access to the Cart list administration service. In this service you can create new cart list, edit and remove cart list. A list of existing list will be presented to you that you can edit or delete. To create a new simply click the Create button.

To add products you will need to edit a specific category and select the product tab. From here you can add a product, enter name and price and also add customizable meta data.

To access a cart as an end user you need to save the ID of the created cart, and preferably created a custom menu button that links to cart list as “/secure/cartlist/{ID}”. If you need help creating this don’t hesitate to contact us.

Category tree

We have created a category tree as a component so that we will be able to use it in other services as well. For now it only exists in in cart list but the plan is to have it in other places such as knowledge base.

Description in Self-Service

We have gotten feedback that the description field together with the name is used as identify groups and distribution list. We have therefor enabled the description field in all of our Self-Services instead of only name to make the services more usable.

 

What’s next?

The next iteration will contain a few big additions to Zephyr. Such as a Teams creation service, Puzzel chat integration and ability to create custom mail templates. The biggest change will be the release of Scopes for roles. That means that we will be able to enable services per role basis, rather than just have a Admin role and end user role now it will be possible to create a role and enable custom permissions on it, an example would be to create a role that only have access to Service-Desk services or an Administrator role that has access to administrate the News but not the configuration variables.
