Atea Global Services is pleased to announce the release of Atea Zephyr 2.9.1 / Atea Zephyr 2.9.2.

Now we have pushed 2.9.2 to production, what happened with 2.9.1 you might ask? 2.9.1 was our winter iteration, we did a lot of backend changes, designs for new services and began work on larger user stories. Nothing worth releasing as a standalone. So, we have bundled up 2.9.1 and 2.9.2, hope you enjoy the changes.

News in Atea Zephyr 2.9.1 / 2.9.2

  • New start page
  • New service desk header
  • New button placements
  • Performance improvements
  • Cart functionality

New start page

Our new start page has arrived. In this page you will now see your latest requests, more than that you can also see how many pending approvals or requests you have. Clicking on these elements will direct you to the correct page for handling approvals or looking at your requests. You can also see the 3 latest News that have been posted in the tenant. There are also fully customizable links on the start page, there are no links available by default, so an Administrator must create these links.

Service Desk header

The Service Desk header has been changed to be consistent with the rest of the portal.

New button placements

We have moved buttons from the bottom of the page to the header to ensure that buttons are visible regardless of the size of the page.

Performance improvements

There has been major work on backend improvements to speed up the feel of the entire portal. Everything in Zephyr should be experienced faster now.

Cart functionality

A lot of work has been put in designing and creating the cart functionality. The cart will be like current flex lists but will support selecting multiple items in the list and a cart where you can inspect selected items. Work on this will continue in 2.9.3.

What’s next?

The big things that are coming as written above the cart functionality. Other than that, we are right now reworking how permissions are working in Zephyr. Rather than having static roles you will be able to assign permissions to a role to create custom roles, such as a Software Administrator role that can handle the portals Software but does not have other administrator privileges.
