Atea Global Services is pleased to announce the release of Atea Zephyr 2.8.1.

News in Atea Zephyr 2.8.1

  • Optional checkbox values
  • Datagrid view for Flexlist
  • Apply Predefined Intune Configuration – Update rings
  • Switch between tenants in Software Catalog
  • Hooks should be able to cache individual script results
  • Hooks should be schedulable to run at certain times and dates

Optional checkbox values

As an admin user you can now configure checkbox elements to return other values than true or false. This change makes it easier to use the return values in scripts and show different values in the summary and mails.

Data grid view for Data source

It is now possible to add the Data grid view as a display mode for a Data source. This view is customizable so that the administrator can decide which columns should be visible for the data source items.

Apply Predefined Intune Configuration – Update rings

You can now apply predefined Intune configuration to a customer’s Intune environment so that it is much easier and faster to configure a Intune environment. This release it covers Update rings but we will build and expand it in the next iterations. The configurations in itself is provided by ATEA.

Switch between tenants in Software Catalog

As a application packager you can now work with multiple different tenants in the service Application Catalog in Zephyr. To access this functionality, you need to be a AGS packager.

Hooks should be able to cache individual script results

A hook can now cache its script result so that the result can be used without rerunning the hook every time. This can be used for example when loading external data that is not updated often or when scheduling a hook to run every day and using the same result throughout the day.

Hooks should be schedulable to run at certain times and dates

As mentioned in the last part, a hook can now be schedulable to run at certain times and dates. This enables recurrent tasks to be triggered from Zephyr automatically.

What’s next?

In the next iteration we are focusing expanding the Intune Configuration predefined values. Work will also continue on Software Management in Zepyr for SCCM softwares. Approvals for self services will also be tweaked to not needing approval to handling your own groups.
