Zephyr 2.7 release

Atea Global Services is pleased to announce the release of Atea Zephyr 2.7.

News in Atea Zephyr 2.7

  • New authentication
  • Security Group management in Azure AD
  • User management in Azure AD
  • Breadcrumbs for forms
  • Several Service Desk bug fixes and user feedback changes

New authentication

Zephyr has gotten a new authentication logic which supports multiple different providers. This opens Zephyr to more new customers that have different kind of login providers and it also enables single sign-on. It also improves login security as it uses the customers own login instead of funneling users through Auth0.

Security Group management in Azure AD

Admin users can now handle Security Groups in Azure AD if the Self-Service module is enabled. The admin users can create, manage and delete security groups in the connected Azure AD. When creating and managing a group you can add change name and description as well as add and remove members and owners.

As a user you can request to join existing groups and leave groups that you are member off.

User management in Azure AD

It is now possible to manage users in Azure AD from Zephyr. Just as with security groups you can create, manage and delete users.

Breadcrumbs for forms

We have implemented customizable breadcrumbs for each form.

A form can have multiple breadcrumbs and it will appear on the form above the form name.

Several Service Desk bug fixes and user feedback changes

We have acted on a lot of user feedback and correct and tweaked certain issues and fixed a lot of bugs that has been reported.

What’s next?

In the next iteration we will create new mail templates that better facilitate the Zephyr look and feel. They should also be better suited for the information we use emails for in Zephyr than the current mail templates. We will continue to develop more Self-Service features and start looking at a way of gathering user feedback internally in the portal.

On top of that we will continue to work with user feedback to make sure that our already developed features are in as good shape as possible.

Hope you enjoy our new release and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us!
