What is Zephyr?

Zephyr is the future of AGS self-service – and by that we mean a future of self service products that are cloud based, device agnostic, visually appealing and, not least, cost effective. Zephyr is a platform on which we’re continuously adding new and rebuilding existing self-service features to integrate and automate our customers IT environments.

Why should you use Zephyr?

I don’t want to repeat myself, but Zephyr is the future of self-service! Zephyr is built on sound engineering principles and modern web development frameworks to stay technically relevant for a long time and enhance the user experience. By using Zephyr it’s easier than ever to get self-service software as a service to any region without threshold of initial investments, giving you a true “pay for what you need” model. Of course this still includes the common benefits of self-service, like 24/7 operations, improved IT services transparency and process overview, and we’ve worked hard to ensure that the steps to true automation of services is shorter than ever.

What about Service Market?

Let’s address the “elephant in the room” – how is Zephyr different form Service Market?
Service Market, still further developed and supported, is our premier self-service portal, has been around for more than a decade, and it is used by multiple customers in the Nordics. While Zephyr is the future – a purely SaaS solution that works from any device at any time and place and requires no on-premise infrastructure.

Who is the customer for Zephyr?

Organizations already cloud centric in their IT infrastructure, or taking steps toward it, maybe through Office365, are well suited for going cloud-only with their self-service. Another reason could be a need for investing in self-service processes, as a service catalog or with automation, in a future-proof environment.

What’s up from the TAP Program?

So far, we’ve seen a couple of customers interested in the Zephyr TAP program, and onboarded some of them. They’re trying out integrations with Azure VM management, directly and through use of an on-premise script environment with PowerShell modules installed. The feedback so far is along extended multi-tenancy of individual users, and automation and integration of user data through Azure AD authentication. The program is still open, so get in touch with us if you are interested!

What’s the future of Zephyr?

We’re continuously integrating more and more of our self-service best practice into the out-of-the-box experience of Zephyr. Another big step during the year will be integrating reports and reporting on Zephyr statistics and consumption as well as external systems, along with Service desk and ticket integration. The AGS managed IT services will also bring their value-adding integrations to the Zephyr platform.
